In Atla Religion Database
- Theology and Science, published by Taylor & Francis, publishes critically reviewed articles that promote the creative mutual interaction between the natural sciences and theology. While the journal assumes the integrity of each domain, its primary aim is to explore this interaction in terms of the implications of the natural sciences for constructive research in philosophical and systematic theology, the philosophical and theological elements within and underlying theoretical research in the natural sciences, and the relations and interactions between theological and scientific methodologies.
- International Journal of Religious Tourism and Pilgrimage, published by Technological University Dublin, aims to be the leading international journal for all those concerned with Religious Tourism and Pilgrimage. The journal takes an interdisciplinary international approach and includes all aspects of Religious Tourism and Pilgrimage. It is inclusive of all denominations, religions, faiths, and spiritual practices. The journal’s online platform facilitates a truly integrative approach. While the main emphasis is on primary research articles, it also welcomes suitably relevant discussion papers, research and review pieces, industry-focused case studies and evaluations, management guides and reports, economic evaluations, book reviews, announcements of forthcoming meetings, and more.
- Aschkenas: Zeitschrift für Geschichte und Kultur der Juden, published by De Gruyter, concentrates on the history and culture of the Ashkenazic Jews (those living in Central and Western Europe as well as North Italy), from the time when Ashkenazic Jewish culture was gradually forming in late Antiquity and the early Middle Ages up to the emancipation of the Jews in the nineteenth century. It also includes articles dealing with issues outside this period of time and geographical area. Aschkenas publishes essays, source editions, literature and research reports as well as reviews of current new publications.
- Muslim World Journal of Human Rights, published by De Gruyter, promises to serve as a forum in which barriers are bridged (or at least, addressed), and human rights are discussed with an eye on the Muslim world, in an open and creative manner. The choice to name the journal Muslim World Journal of Human Rights reflects a desire to examine human rights issues related not only to Islam and Islamic law but equally to those human rights issues found in Muslim societies that stem from various other sources such as socio-economic and political factors, as well the interaction and intersections of the two areas.
- Folklore Studies, a ceased title, was published by the Museum of Oriental Ethnology, Catholic University of Peking. It is an open access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the promotion of research on the peoples and cultures of Asia. It was published under this title from 1942 to 1963 when publication was taken over by Nanzan University under the title Asian Folklore Studies, which was then succeeded by Asian Ethnology.

- Stimulus: The New Zealand Journal of Christian Thought and Practice, published by Laidlaw College, provides provocative and challenging material for thoughtful readers, drawing on a wide variety of material, from authors outside of Laidlaw College, as well as from their own faculty. In broad terms, Stimulus historically was orthodox, evangelical, and Catholic while remaining open to publishing worthwhile and thought-provoking material from beyond these descriptions.
- Literature and Theology: An International Journal of Religion, Theory, and Culture, published by Oxford University Press, is a quarterly peer-review journal that provides a critical non-confessional forum for both textual analysis and theoretical speculation, encouraging explorations of how religion is embedded in culture. Its overall aim is to engage with and reshape traditional discourses within the studies of literature and religion, and their cognate fields – biblical criticism, literary criticism, philosophy, politics, culture studies, gender studies, artistic theory/practice, and contemporary critical theory/practice.
- Logos: A Journal of Eastern Christian Studies, published by Sheptytsky Institute, is Canada’s only double-blind peer-reviewed journal in the field. This tri-lingual (English, French, Ukrainian) theological review focuses on Eastern Christian Studies, emphasizing both Orthodox and Catholic Eastern Churches with a special, but not exclusive, interest in the Church of Kyiv. Its editorial board includes members of the editorial committee and outside members chosen from various constituencies, together with internationally renowned specialists in Eastern Christian Studies.
