This November, Atla research tools added titles on numerous topics in four languages from eight countries.
In Atla Religion Database
- Shofar: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Jewish Studies, published by Purdue University Press, publishes original, scholarly work and reviews a range of recent books in Judaica. Shofar has been published quarterly since 1981 and is served by a distinguished, international editorial board.
- Journal of language, religion and culture, published by Mahāwitthayālai Khō̜n Kǣn (Khon Kaen University), is an academic journal in the humanities and social sciences. The objective is to disseminate academic results to researchers, academics, faculty members and graduate students, both in Thailand and elsewhere. It includes content related to the humanities and social sciences in the areas of linguistics, folklore, literature, philosophy, religion, culture, and other relevant issues in both Thai and English. Notably, this is the first Thai-language journal to be indexed in Atla’s research tools.
- Seelsorger, published by DOXOLOGY, is a journal focused on the faithful care and cure of souls in these modern times. Each Seelsorger features articles by Collegium Fellows and by special guests. There are also reviews of insightful resources on the care and cure of souls.
- Offerings, published by Oblate School of Theology, Crossroad Publishing Company, publishes innovative research at the disciplinary intersection between Practical Theology and Spirituality. Situated in the unique social location of South Texas, within the diverse and overlapping Spanish and English-speaking cultures and contexts, Offerings is committed to publishing academic works that illuminate and give meaning to the spiritual life lived in the particularities of the everyday.
- Nicholai Studies, published by Christian Cultural Centre “Dr Radovan Bigović,” is an international peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the research and theological and ecclesiastical contributions of Nicholai Velimirovich, as well as research of the wider context in which he lived and created. Nicholai Studies primarily publishes original scientific papers dedicated to the study of theology and spirituality. The journal is open for scientific papers and review articles based on research in other areas, like social sciences and humanities, philosophy, sociology, politicology, philology, literature, history, historiography, and archival research, as long as they correspond with the topic of the journal. This journal is also notable for being the first Serbian-language title available as full text in Atla’s research tools.

- Nicholai Studies, published by Christian Cultural Centre “Dr Radovan Bigović”, is an international peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the research and theological and ecclesiastical contributions of Nicholai Velimirovich, as well as research of the wider context in which he lived and created. Nicholai Studies primarily publishes original scientific papers dedicated to the study of theology and spirituality. The journal is open for scientific papers and review articles based on research in other areas, like social sciences and humanities, philosophy, sociology, politicology, philology, literature, history, historiography, and archival research, as long as they correspond with the topic of the journal. This journal is also notable for being the first Serbian-language volume available as full text in Atla’s research tools.
- The Syriac Annals of the Romanian Academy, published by the Romanian Academy, is a peer-reviewed journal of the Romanian Academy, appearing annually on July 1st. SARA’s objectives are to facilitate an extended vision and build new bridges in the field, encouraging cultural dialogue and proposing new connections between the field of Syriac studies and its Byzantine and Southeast European counterparts. The journal primarily publishes articles on Syriac topics but also welcomes original papers focusing on cultural transfers and on the interaction between Syriac Christianity and Arabic culture, Islam, and Judaism.
- Samoa Journal of Theology, published by Malua Theological College, is a peer-reviewed journal covering all aspects of theology and provides a forum for theologians of Samoa, Oceania, and the World. It also brings the unique contribution of Samoa and Oceania to the international community of scholars. This is the first volume to be included in Atla’s research tools written in the Samoan language.
